Bringing Theater to Life Through Accessories
This year, Kawami Jewelry had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with the Director and Costume Designer of Little Women at North Central College to create the perfect accessories for the beloved classic.
The production was anything but ordinary. Presented entirely through Zoom with individual on-stage recordings, this adaptation of Little Women combined creativity, resilience, and innovation to meet the challenges of virtual theater. Despite the physical distance, the show captured the warmth, elegance, and period charm that audiences love.

Kawami’s Role in the Production
We worked closely with the costume team to design accessories that reflected the play’s 19th-century setting while staying true to the craftsmanship and artistry that define Kawami Jewelry. Every detail mattered—from the choice of materials to the shape and style—ensuring each piece complemented the costumes and helped bring the characters to life.
A True Artistic Collaboration
This partnership allowed us to stretch our creativity beyond everyday wear and into theatrical design. It was a rewarding challenge to merge historical authenticity with Kawami’s signature style, proving that our handmade Colombian earrings and accessories can adapt to any stage—whether in a jewelry box or under the spotlight.
Proud to Be Part of the Arts
For us, this was more than just a design project. It was a chance to support the arts, work alongside talented students and faculty, and contribute to a production that found new ways to connect with audiences during a challenging year.
We are proud to have been part of Little Women at North Central College and look forward to future collaborations where jewelry becomes part of the storytelling.
